On Saturday, March 28th, communities across the country are uniting in peaceful resistance to tyranny, and to affirm that in America the power belongs to the people. NOTE NEW LOCATION: See our main posting for Annapolis event on the NO KINGS MAP: https://mobilize.us/s/r5UYzh No Kings 3 will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Riva Road (grounds of AA County Public Schools Offices, 2644 Riva Rd. Just south of the Farmers' Market) Join us there this family friendly No Kings event, featuring a rally with speakers and live music, a sign-waving procession along Riva Road (from the rally to Bowens’ Farm Supply), and tables with voter registration, kid’s crafts, sign-making, and opportunity to connect with various community groups. Park at the Harry S. Truman Park-n-Ride or at the Heritage Complex at 2666 Riva Road. (Only handicapped parking will be available at the Board of Ed lot) A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Partner organizations for this event include Chesapeake Indivisible, Anne Arundel Indivisible, Coalition for LGBTQ+ Students, The Freedom Choir, Showing Up for Racial Justice Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (SURJ3A), SURJ3A Annapolis Circle, and the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County (TAAAC).
