@imanijoy sometimes I use it as a quick check. I'm going through my feed, I see a post that makes me pause. Maybe it was a particularly cool post or the opposite, a post I don't feel good about. Check the person's profile to see if they showed up in my feed because I follow or because of tags and such. If I follow them, I wonder if they are following me too because that would suggest we jived at one point. Do we still?
