Sunday morning we were up early. There was a rally on in Kalorama, in the Dandenong Ranges, and could either go directly there or meet people and drive there together ish. We thought that would be fun to do so we went to a pub in Ringwood called the Manhattan, to meet everyone.
A really great mix of cars arrived.

Some Fiats arrived and parked away from us, which was mystifying.
It looked like a few car clubs were being represented, with a number of Austins and Austin Healeys.
This one had a modernised interior with a radio and speakers and modern gauges included. Looked a bit odd but then hey, it's their cruiser, they can do what they like.
This is a 1925 Rugby, with modern running gear as you can't find original parts any more.
I have not seen an Austin Kimberley in I don't know how long
More Fiats were arriving so I wandered over. Turns out the Fiat club had coincidentally also organised a drive, and same meeting spot. I suggested they come with us but they had other plans.
A Jensen interceptor rolled in, but sounded like it was in need of some mechanical assistance, weird clunks.
I have an alarm clock that is this tiny Austin van, it's from Wallace and Gromit, who drove one.
The organiser gathered us all together. There were two routes: 30 mins and 1hour. We opted for the shorter one, knowing how slow Harry gets in the hills. And then we took off!
And soon were far behind the others, with a 20's Chev as distant company, who also was not great with hills.
We chugged our way along and eventually go to Kalorama! And there were already lots of cars there who had made their own way there. This was a fundraiser for the local Country Fire Authority, volunteer firefighters.
It's the second time we've driven Harry up the Ranges. A slow drive but a lovely one, with all the trees and greenery. This was a great spot for the event.
People from our short rally were arriving, as well as others.
I love that most of these cars were driven to the event in the hills, barely any trailers could be seen.
This was a well organised event, with roadways and parking areas clearly marked on the grass.
Someone brought a Lamborghini Espada parts bin in the shape of a car along. A lot of parts were laying in the interior.
Must not have been a wedding on on the weekend, so many Rolls Royce cars.
This beast came in its own custom trailer. The owner kept revving its engine sporadically.
We left the show early, didn't want to stop everyone with our slowness on the single lane roads.
Found our way down this green driveway, very much Haflinger terrain.
And we got to our friend's place, who sold us Harry! Had to say hi to his cousins. The yellow one used to be a weed sprayer for a council in Sydney. The other is a Pathfinder model, with bigger headlights, for the US market.
And Harry hung out with his original Haflinger, that he's owned for almost forty years.
