The only plausible increase in cost can be the delivery to the shop, which can’t be more than a few cents per loaf.

Yeah, they pretend they line up at a pump to buy their fuel, not contract it years in advance.
Our media goes missing, I guess airlines buy advertising.
Curious@InsurgoFormica @kentparkstreet1 the business model for journalism died 10+ years ago. I suggest substituting "advertising" for "media" in most common usage in Australia. A few noteable exceptions but lets just say they ain't Murdoch.
