Brian Costa@stevesebban Right? They could have made a bunch of cool add in cards to compliment Apple Silicon. Yeah it would have been expensive, but still. Feels like Apple never really wanted to make it anyway. Or, probably more accurate, there was a fight over it internally.
@cronocx Maybe they got Thunderbold to be as fast as internal PCI and there’s no point to a build-in chassis. Maybe the M5 max/exterme/ultra extreme/god speed 🤷🏻♂️
