Where /are/ all the therians and plurals at? Is Fedi really that small community-wise and/or lacks discussion about these things or am I just not following the right people? Been feeling intensely longing for community lately but I can't seem to find where its actually concentrated (even Tumblr's been feeling.. devoid lately)

@me @cryptids Same. Its weird how the same network can look entirely different depending on where you're looking at it from. I had to make a concerted effort to find more non-therian non-plural people to follow.

@bunny_jane that's part of what makes fedi fedi, I think. It has a very "local" feeling. You know some local folks (from your instance), some folks from "neighboring" instances (with related topics, ethos and/or population), and also some friends from afar. Nothing save blocklists - stars bless them - prevents you from following and talking to anyone, but the network is different for everyone.

I love it, but that's also what makes people coming from centralized networks feel lost and, often isolated.
