Also recruiters:
Lie..?
Who lies?
I organize the information on my resume to target the position I want in a way that is most advantageous to _me_.
That's not lying.
That's synergizing my historical strengths with the target organizations current expectations. Assholes.
🤨
That nonsense is right up there with, "Do you care to explain this employment gap on your resume?"
"No. Thanks for asking. Do you care to explain the 32% year-to-year turn-over rate here?"
No...? Didn't think so. If you're looking for an excuse to _not_ hire me... It's my attitude. That's your gift reason. Fuckers. <3
"Sure thing, how do you define performance, goals, and AI proficiency? Additionally, what metrics do you use for each of these?"
I'll can spend all day rejecting the premise. <3
Performance: ability to make your manager laugh, avoid work for your team, not draw attention from HR
Goals: pretending you plan to do anything besides performing
AI Proficiency: frequency with which you mention, in meetings, using Microslop CopePilot
... Oh, I might keep these. These are _really_ good. I thought we were talking about getting a job not extracting wealth from corporations but... I see now I was being naive.
You, sir, you... You're alright. <3
@401matthall @maxleibman anything else you’re told by a corporation is a bald faced lie unless you have considerable stake yourself, or your bonus is tied to performance.
These characterizations can also apply to startups when investor money is involved and the business owners don’t cut you in.
No stake = no fucks
To believe otherwise is to get clowned on by unscrupulous workers not carrying their share.
“Leadership” != Ownership either. Sniff them out.
