I had a great chat with Meredith Glaser, from the Urban Cycling Institute & Ghent University, to talk about "study tours" and how she gets international policymakers on-board to build better cycling infrastructure in their cities.

This was one of my better podcast conversations, so definitely check it out!

The Best Way to Understand Dutch Cycling (w/Meredith Glaser)

YouTube
@notjustbikes This really was excellent, Glaser super switched on, sounds like a great educator and "bringer together". Thanks for sharing that, appreciate it!

@notjustbikes Great episode. I never thought about how it must feel to cycle in a Dutch city if you come from a truly car-dependent place.

I live in a car-friendly but certainly not car-dependent city. I never owned a car in my life and never had to commute by car. I either use public transport or cycle or walk. Still, when I was in Den Haag I noticed how much nicer life as a pedestrian is immediately. I didn't even cycle and it was still noticeable how much better life outside a car is there.
