I've heard that I come across as rather aloof and a bit weird to many in real life, that's because I often struggle to parse things people say and what they really mean, it's hard often because I have a hard time picking up on if they mean what they say, or if they are putting meaning in between the lines, and the more people there are around the harder it gets, I get kind of envious of the people who just can do that almost naturally and don't get overwhelmed with trying to understand what's going on around them.
@sotolf I’ve also gotten that feedback from friends; that at first they thought I was “aloof” or similar. When in reality I was feeling pretty much the opposite of aloof. On the positive side, all this time spent analyzing and thinking about what’s happening might have made me better at teaching. I break things down into simple components very well, as I never assume anyone is “reading between the lines”.
