@onipa Thanks a lot. This deep shell course looks very promissing. And for the first link, isn't it a problem it is about Unix shell? Is it all the same in GNU/Linux?

True that the first link is about Unix. The difference between Unix and "Lunix” (as some like to call Linux) is only in the nitty gritty details.

@itsfoss I've lost count of the times testing a new distro on a separate partition has completely ruined my GRUB and forced me to reinstall my main distro from scratch, but it's still preferable to life under Microsoft.
