@jeffjarvis A recent trip to Costa Rica let me see the popularity of BYD cars there. With the anti-EV policies of He Who Must Not Be Criticized™, the US is ceding leadership in the electric car market to China. Something we will come to regret. #EVs

@jeffjarvis We have BYD everywhere here in Australia. Not only the number one EV sold here in 2025, but number one car brand nationally. Eclipsing the last 30 years of Toyota/Mazda/Ford/Hyundai etc being best sellers. BYD are excellent cars at great prices, full of features. Also making inroads Chinese EV brands Chery, MG, GWM, Deepal, LDV, JAC, Geely. Helps that we don't have any tariffs from China. Just a Luxury Car Tax for +$100K from any brand. Our market is deciding - Chinese EV.
