last year lecturers and the University of Zimbabwe were on strike too because they couldn't even afford sending their own kids to that uni.

we have unions and associations which do help as much as they can but they are heavily under-resourced.

the state also just likes to arrest first ask questions later/never when it comes to people protesting even at a small scale any hits of "unauthorized" political gathering too
