NO KINGS DAY TUCSON REID PARK · Mobilize
Good citizens will be out at all hours for **NO KINGS DAY!** For this event, **everyone** invited! We will gather at the bandshell at Reid Park at 11:00 a.m. while those wishing to march will rally at these sites: **Marches A and B will begin from Parking areas around 11a, see below.** A and B will head for 22nd and Country Club, where others will be marching into the Park (**March C** starts at **22nd and Country Club**) beginning around 11:45 a.m. Meanwhile at the bandshell there will be brief speeches by younger adults. There will also be audience generated music and community based tables, food trucks, and **family friendly activities**. Our goal is to encourage conversations between the age labels of "boomer," "gen X," "millennial," and "gen Z". We also hope to provide a safe entry into activism for those wishing to find out what to do. The area around the bandshell will be family friendly, with activities for kids (and **very** near a playground). We will have hundreds of close, free parking spots and several food trucks. The marches have been measured and are reasonable with choices as to length. There is extensive handicapped access -**see PARKING**. Adelita Grijalva has graciously consented to speaking. Mark Kelly declined. Ruben Gallego, and Juan Ciscomani were also invited but haven't responded. Our young adults are rehearsing their speeches to inform, amuse, and provoke. Join us! **PARKING** **For MARCH A**: park at 145 N Country Club and cross lawfully to the SE corner, 3130 E Broadway parking lot, march begins there about 11a. **For MARCH B**: park at 1455 S Alvernon (DES ofc) and cross lawfully to the NW corner of the intersection, along 22nd, march begins there abt 11a. **A and B will march toward C, where people are also demonstrating.** BOTH THESE WILL HAVE **FREE EV SHUTTLES** FOR PPL WITH LIMITED MOBILITY, or the EV curious. **HI CORBETT's** lot is available for overflow parking: park (anywhere but the zoo) and go west along the turquoise fence, curving toward the bandshell area. Park on any **SIDE STREETS** that do not have "no parking" signs. All the streets west of Country Club are OK. There is also a **WHEELCHAIR RAMP** at the west end of the Hi Corbett lot, and the hard dirt can be navigated.
