The goal is for people to recognize what has happened in recent history and stop repeating it.
Corporate Democrats and big corporations will continue to say that the left should reach out to the center and steal those votes. They’ll say that because they hate leftist policies and not because they think the strategy would actually work. But lots of people listen to them.
I believe that if Bernie had been the candidate in 2016, he would have won. I believe that there are enough American voters who actually want leftist policies out there and that a leftist candidate can win the White House. But I know that it’s hard to get people to try. And that explains the predictable losses in 2016 and 2024.
JackbyDevI’m not sure what the context of their discussion is but I interpreted it as being sympathetic to people who realize they were duped by conservatives. But there’s a big difference between whether we should accept former maga voters and whether we should compromise with fascist politicians.
