Does ANYONE know what the mysterious "very valuable" present that Trump claimed Iranian negotiators sent him was yet?

The best theory I've heard is Iran let some boats through and maybe someone told Trump this was a "gift" or show of good will for him when it was not?

I'm so curious what he thought he was talking about.

This is like a good macguffin in a damn movie. I'm a little obsessed with what it was.

He says they "sent" it to him and it "arrived" so, IDK if the boats idea really works?

Did he just make it up and that's why he won't tell us what it was? This is "Canadian Girlfriend" level stuff.

@futurebird i think he is just spouting nonsense again

what's the prize? secret
who gave it to you? can't really say

iran, what is he talking about? we have no idea

@crow

But I want to see the fabulous prize!

@crow

Do you think if there were more participation awards for people of his generation things might be ... different for the world?

Sometimes I just think the dude never got a prize and it's now the problem of the whole earth.

@futurebird @crow I don't think it's lack of public recognition — he got too much of a very wrong sort and I have little doubt he managed to get a few awards one way or another *cough money.*

Well, I haven't exactly done a deep dive into the man's life (in the same way I haven't done a deep dive into Hitler's life because vomit) but I'm under the impression his biggest problem was probably his family. They were probably like him to his kids.

@futurebird @crow One thing I do remember is that before he all of a sudden developed bone spurs in time to avoid the draft, he did play football and that sort of thing. I'm sure he didn't achieve a whole lot on his own, but there were likely team trophies or etc?

@nazokiyoubinbou @crow

Yeah. You are probably correct. Though I would suggest it's more about an absence of consequences. Some of the most difficult children I've worked with have been those with inconsistent parents. They might get showered with gifts for no reason, or later their acting out is ignored. They might get yelled at for no reason too. This is VERY abusive and might lead to a kid who acts out more, or a kid who gives up and drifts.

@futurebird @crow I'll admit I definitely don't know the specifics, but certainly everything I've ever heard seems to confirm that he definitely didn't grow up under the best of parenting. And I think you're right. I mean, we *know* his whole empire was started with a *LOT* of free money from daddy.

My suspicion is that they just tried to buy into life for him without worrying over piddling details like love.

But I admit to insufficient data.

@futurebird @crow I'm taking the side of the null hypothesis that giving participation awards had very little effect on anything, good or bad.
