Farage has claimed the reason he wasn't on Question Time in Clacton, is that MPs from the constituency the show is being taped in are not allowed to appear there.

Which is a lie. Another lie. Another fucking Farage lie.

As Labour MP for Dover, Mike Tapp has pointed out, he was at the taping in Dover back in December.

Lucy Powell, the Labour MP for Greater Manchester was on the edition from Manchester just two weeks ago.

Aberdeen's SNP MP Stephen Flynn was on the Aberdeen edition in 2024.

Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, and former Scottish Greens leader Patrick Harvie are both elected MSPs for Glasgow, and have appeared on Question Time editions from Glasgow.

Labour's Edinburgh MP Ian Murray has was involved in a taping from Edinburgh.

But if Farage really wants a more relevant example to him, then perhaps he could look to the man he unseated in 2024, Giles Watling.
Who appeared on Question Time in 2018 when it was held in Clacton.

@ShredderLivesOn

That's a pity - Nigel Farage could've billed it as his first Constituency Surgery, a chance for his electorate to tell him their problems and how much they admire what he does for them.

But, sadly, Farago couldn't attend #BBCQuestionTime in his own constituency cos he's never there.

Now, if the #BBC had arranged it's first ever broadcast of #QuestionTime from, say, Mar-a-Lago in Florida, USA ... well, bucking broncos couldn't keep Farridge off the panel.
