Ordering parts from the stealership again. First they tell me that they can't sell me the parts and I have to order them locally.

Then I ask why and say they can sell me the parts, but that they don't match the VIN.

But they don't bother to say which parts or why. It's just like 2-3 curt sentences every time.

These part numbers are printed on the parts. On the car. With that VIN. So...

So much drama for *checks notes* a $30 plastic air deflector for the brakes and $40 for intake manifold gaskets.

Meanwhile, TireRack be like "oh, you want 2x 245/45R16 and 4x 325/30R19? Enjoy your strange hot rod truck SEND"

@janusfox Ah, the classic “I don’t really wanna do my job right now so can’t you just go away? Here’s a couple excuses I found in my pants pocket”

I get that on tickets at work…

@nepi Yep yep, exactly!

Make me wonder why I never do this. I need to start lol

@janusfox Oh god, please don’t… I swear it’s the #1 thing that contributes to my bouts of crippling depression xD

@janusfox I used to go into the Chevy dealer and say "Hey, could you order part number 42069 for me?" and they'd say "We'll have it next week."

I ordered a full set of four aluminum Impala SS rims for $250 (total!) because that's what the price was on that stock number. It was supposed to be a special code just for dealers.
