I have found even the cheapest glass solar panels are very high quality. But I have seen some installers put excessive mechanical stresses on the sealed frames, allowing them to leak and using "MC4" connectors that don't fit together well, both can be failure or fire hazard. Many installers appear to have only very basic mechanical skills.
