I have to wear glasses for reading, screens etc. (long-sighted with astigmatism). Anyway, I'm finding I'm wearing them for more and more things as it's just comfier. I may have to just admit defeat and wear them all the time...
@kev You and I are on opposite tracks. I'm near sighted, so I need my glasses for seeing far away. When I was younger, I just left them on all the time as it was no big deal to read with them. As I've gotten older though, I can't read with my glasses on anymore. My eyes can't adjust to the focus, so I've been taking them off more and more. I've turned into a stereotype of the old man wandering around wondering where he put his glasses down.
@mike @kev New glasses wearer here. Slightly nearsighted, and use some intermediate prescriptions for computer work. Got myself a fancy pair of progressive lenses which I thoroughly do not like. I think I need taller ones to allow for more room for the progressive prescription to really make sense.
@ErikSTL @kev My wife had the progressives and she just hated them. She just swaps between her normal glasses and readers these days.
@mike @kev that's likely what I'll do... in a year when my insurance lets me get new lenses.
