First, yes, someone on Reddit made this with AI. The video's message is still valid. How it was made is more irony than anything.

The theme is based in the '90s and they're looking to the Future. They're looking at things that are just foreign concepts to them and I find that interesting and find myself reflecting on that.

I'm a '80s Gen X kid, and this video is more targeted toward millennials, but the point that this video makes is spot on.

Now, as I think about this, something occurs to me.

In marketing circles and in tech circles, I hear about people looking to always close the gap or to find the Gap and there's the gotcha that's going to be the next big thing .

Might I suggest instead of trying to look forward, maybe we look at some of the more low-tech interactive things that we used to do as the gap to be solved?

I don't know. I'm just pondering random thoughts, don't mind me.

@matthartley simplicity, honesty, and integrity are the hardest gaps to fill. in part because it's hard to extract billions of dollars with those. ;)

it's happening, though.

@matthartley "stay out until the street lights come on" feels a lot more 80s than 90s to me.

i was already spending my evenings staring at a 386 most evenings by the early 90s.

@deobald Same. But, I checked with someone from the 90s era apparently they too, did it. Last generation I guess.
@matthartley @deobald 90’s kid! Yes we did! We also weren’t allowed inside in the summer and drank water out of the garden hose.
@erin yay! :) sadly, by the 90s i had already turned into this guy
@deobald haha. I definitely used a computer in the 90s as well, just spent the majority of time outside. In the very late 90s I tried to transfer the internet to my computer via floppy disk 💾 (hint: it didn’t work)
@matthartley Message approved! It's nuts that this is AI - hate to say it but it's getting quite hard do tell...
