As long as we're talking about em dashes and AI — can the Google Gemini team please put spaces on either side of them? I know it's a styling choice, but I find it visually easier to parse with the spaces.

@knowprose I'd love improvements in factuality, non-sycophancy, and correct attribution, but em dash punctuation choices seems like a more tractable problem right now. :)

@knowprose Let me try again. I don't disagree that misattribution and the other issues I mentioned are far, far, far more problematic and important than mere punctuation styling. I suspect that changing em dash styling is easier than and independent from more serious improvements that require heavy research, engineering, and testing.

Since I'm now being very literal: I also recognize style decisions aren't actually simple or easy, even if easier than addressing fundamental LLM challenges.
