I am watching a brand new Netflix #horror miniseries ("Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen") and it reminds me of what I have read lately about how films and series are often written these days: with a lot of repetition and characters narrating what is happening (or just happened), like in an audio play.
Because #Netflix and other streaming services think that most of their viewers are distracted by other things while they are watching, and might be unable to follow the plot otherwise.

In this case, there is a lot of very on the nose foreshadowing (of the bad things which are going to happen, obviously) and to make things worse, they also repeat these points of foreshadowing.
I feel annoyed. 🙄 However, I'll continue to watch for now because I like the lead actress, Camila Morrone, and her acting is good.

I watched two episodes now and so far the series is better than I had expected in my eyes. I'll see how the rest of it goes. Sometimes, in the horror and thriller genre, the ending (or the plot twists at the end) turn out to be disappointing. I hope it's different here.
