Just noticed Digizeitshcriften, a digital repository of European journals, has shut down with no successor. They'll arrange downloads with interested parties through April, but presumably they will be unavailable afterwards: https://www.digizeitschriften.de/page/faq

Much of what was on the site is public domain in Europe (and might or might not be public domain elsewhere), but they also had more recent content available from some publishers. I hope other sites will make available what they can without paywalls.

thanks for pointing this out @JMarkOckerbloom! is anybody already doing sth in the direction of preserving the data?¹

@dta_cthomas @Life_is @awinkler @JMarkOckerbloom @subugoe Thanks for thinking of us! Text+ is a research data infrastructure, not a publication platform. But we know that the line between publications and research data can be fluid. If materials are available in structured, machine‑readable formats (e.g. TEI), they may serve as valuable research datasets.
If anyone is working on securing the Digizeitschriften data, we’d be happy to connect and see what might be possible.

Thanks! I understand that Text+/#NFDI is "not a publication platform". But I was not asking for a publication venue, but like I said, "preserving the data". And as you say, Text+/NFDI "is a research data infrastructure". Thanks anyway, also for your reply re: my helpdesk inquiry in the same direction. I hope we find another avenue.

Today by chance I learned that #Germanistik im Netz https://www.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/germanistik/gin.html is also not available any more: "Aufgrund von IT-Sicherheitsbedenken wurde die Seite nun offline geschaltet."

Apparently another resource gone without proper replacement and preservation of its original content.
