Workers found a skeleton beneath a church in #Maastricht #Holland that may belong to D’Artagnan, the French soldier who inspired the hero in Alexandre Dumas’s novel, “The Three Musketeers”.

The real swashbuckler Charles de Batz de Castelmore d’Artagnan was killed by a bullet to the throat during a siege of the Dutch city in 1673.
