Way back when, I worked at a bookshop in a funky outdoor mall called Rio in Atlanta. The mall was considered architecturally unique back then, all modern and bright colors, and in the courtyard there was a giant white metal orb that was attended by a legion of gold frogs, all facing toward it.

On the mall's opening night, they gave away lil frogs, and I recently found mine. I wonder if it's still in contact with the spirit of the Mother Orb.

@nevar23 That is both very cool and kinda creepy lol
@curtisysmith Yes, it was both. 😆 It was especially cool at night when the fiber optic cables made it all slowly change colors. The Orb would emit mist occasionally which reflected the lights (and made the frogs happy, lol).
@nevar23 Sounds pretty high tech for way back then. Reminds me of the time I spent a couple of days inside the dome above a Cheesecake Factory, running fiber optic cable for the twinkling crystals in the dome

@curtisysmith Yeah, it was high tech, and a lot of people visited in those first days to see it. But then the novelty wore off, tenants started leaving, the high tech stuff started breaking down and wasn't repaired and... yeah. 😅 Still, I have good memories.

Somehow I haven't ever been to a Cheesecake Factory, but I've seen pics of the dome. That must've been a lot of work.
