#British #travellers are reminded of the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) ahead of the Easter holidays. Fully implemented from 10 April, EES replaces passport stamps with digital records of entries and exits for short stays in the #Schengen area. Registration occurs at border control or, at juxtaposed ports like #Eurostar St Pancras, Eurotunnel Folkestone, and Dover, before departure. Adults and children 12+ will have fingerprints scanned; a photo is taken for all. The system is free, lasts three years, and future visits are quicker. Travellers should allow extra time and follow operator guidance. Exemptions apply for UK‑EU dual citizens and legal residents of Schengen countries.
