โ€œI got a string of quite scary diagnoses recently. The day after I told my stepmum a bunch of flowers & a shortbread biscuit were delivered from her.

A lot of changes are happening because of my health so it made such a huge difference & theyโ€™re blooming beautifully and providing a little joy every day!โ€

Little reminders that we are cared for & supported are a really meaningful act of kindness in hard times.

What #kindness have you experienced when things have been tough?

#ChronicIllness

@time_for_kindness That is really nice! Those things matter so much. I havent really told my family much of my recent ER escapes, but my partner has been sweet and ordered me a bunch of salt free seasonings (like non oily chili crisp crunchy toppings) and a coworker has checked in twice via text and sent a book recommendation for Libby (free audio and ebooks via the library).
The way a small text made me feel---- we all need to check in on the people we care about. A few sentences, a "thinking about you" message or meme. It really matters. It's so easy to stop being a part of ... whatever world you are part of outside of the house.
I hope you are hanging in there while working through what your new health diagnosis' mean moving forward. <3
