Went to a little village 1.5 miles away this morning to a coffee shop I’ve been wanting to try for a while. Asked for an oat milk flat white, said they only do Americano with cold oat milk but they didn’t have any oat milk in today. Very surprised they didn’t have milk alternatives as it’s an upmarket little village and one assumes the clientele would like variety and a good coffee. Disappointing but I had a nice sit near a pond in the sun then walked over 4 miles, it was glorious
@purplelime Surprising that a coffee shop didn’t have alt milk in stock. But then, as you said, it’s a small village. Maybe distribution is awkward there?
@alexandra it’s just a village between towns and cities so no problem with supplies. They mustn’t get much in the way of requests for alt. But I had a lovely morning out and a flat white when I got home so not all bad.
@purplelime The positive part is that you had a great walk and sat by a lovely pond. The coffee was your reward.
@alexandra yes and I think I’ll have another flat white for burning lots of calories after my secondary walk!
