Ok, enough coffee consumed so I’ll shortly be moving to a new instance. Hoping all goes without a hitch but if I break anything or you don’t hear from me in a while then come find me over at
@purplelime, otherwise I’ll (hopefully) see you all there soon 👋
I’ve secured my place on social.lol and now begins the process of moving everyone here to my new home. I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to things like this so need encouragement that I'm not going to break things. I’ve found this document on the process, is this about the best guidance to follow?

Think I know why the box of 60 suet balls were so reasonably priced. Scrambled suet on the menu for the birds, hopefully they won’t mind too much
I had been tempted by MacBook Neo when it was released even though my M2 MacBook Air is just fine. Then I thought about how I’d probably miss Touch ID a lot, but I’d say the success rate of that lately is 30% at best. Do fingerprints start to fade after age 50 or something?
I’m running on barely 5 hours sleep after a dreadful restless night. I feel remarkably refreshed for that, but I know how it can lull you into a false sense of security and I’ll be wanting to get into my pyjamas by 2pm
My Mastodon instance has been under DDoS attack again today and it’s still throwing up errors hours later so apologies if I’m not replying in a timely manner but it’s telling me posts have been deleted (even though they haven’t).
Might be a good time to think about moving over to social.lol soon 🤔 I hear all the cool kids hang out there.
Shiny new router all set up, Virgin upgraded me from Hub 3 to a 4. Renamed the network and password to my old one so I didn’t have to go through all my devices one by one
Ran diagnostics and the hub temperature is fine. Wish I'd done this yesterday before calling Virgin but I suppose that red light will always play on my mind
Think I may have isolated what caused my tripped electrics yesterday - my Meross smart power strip. My Aqara camera is plugged into that, I noticed it was offline and the strip non-responsive. So probably not my router to blame though it still has a solid red status light so that’s not normal behaviour either.
