The #Utah GOP will literally do anything to avoid listening to voters - and they're failing more and more often

(Little bit of context, Utah voters passed an initiative designed to limit gerrymandering, the Utah legislature tried to ignore it, then tried to repeal it, then sued, then tried to ignore the judgement that went against them, tried to get another initiative passed to repeal it, tried to change the initiative rules at the last minute to help it pass, and have now been defeated, again, by the procedures they themselves put into place in an attempt to make it hard to pass initiatives.)

Prop 4 repeal fails to make 2026 ballot after Utah voters pull their signatures

A Republican-back effort to repeal Prop 4, Utah's anti-gerrymandering law, will fail to make the 2026 ballots after voters withdrew their signatures.

@ricci I nearly signed because the language they used for the measure was sooo confusing. Thank God (and Utah voters!) this failed.

@bhargavkk oh yeah, it's good that there's a process for people to remove their names. So expect the legislature to remove that process next year.

And then get this on the ballot for 2028, and for them to lose. Again.
