I read the old anti-Soviet propaganda from the 50s, including the stuff put out by the John Birch Society (my uncle was trying to recruit me, I think). I remember how they went on and on about "internal passports" being required by Soviet citizens to travel within the USSR. Looks like we're heading in the same direction.
But at least THEY got healthcare, food, and housing!
