@gimulnautti it's not corruption. And in all honesty (as someone who worked on the CSAM regulation) when it comes to MEPs, they are voting for the most part because they genuinely believe they are solving a problem. Don't mistake for malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.
As for the EPPs recent manoeuvres, they are technically not illegal or antidemocratic (it is a vote after all) although they are lacking respect for parliament's established position.
