Working with LLMs for a few months now I have noticed that they tend to default to adding code to achieve something, not removing it. Knowing when to remove code to achieve a result is a critical skill.
Dan V Peterson@MrRooni I frequently ask Claude to go back and find areas that can be simplified or cleaned up before we create PRs and it seems to do a decent job. @ttscoff has been doing PR reviews for me and says things have been really good so far! It definitely takes a lot of back and forth and me telling Claude to do things I really think it should know to do on its own, but still getting much further and faster than I could without it.
