Saw my first warblers of the season this week. The phoebes are here and singing loudly now. Bloodroots are up in the woods and trout lily leaves appearing. The hepatica in the woods would be blooming now if someone hadn't dug it out.

At home my little toad trilliums are a couple inches high and the early daffodils nearly open. Imperial fritillaries impressively high already.

Thrashers and towhees due any day, hermit thrushes could arrive next week.
