I had an appointment at the barber today. You know how some movies are so bad they’re good?

Now not only do I know that there are proofs that the world is flat and that vaccines are changing our DNA and that’s somehow all in the Bible but also my hair is so short, so so short, that I’m kind of scared of whoever that person is in the mirror.

This was like taking a short trip to another world and coming home with a souvenir (a strange almost hairless head). It’s so ridiculous I had to laugh.

For #ThickTrunkTuesday an old red oak friend. All those trees in the background that look so skinny? They’re not. This oak, already old, was the central tree when this area was a picnic grove in the 1800s and very early 1900s. When it stopped being used for picnics other trees grew and shaded its wide branches so they fell off. Their remains are on the ground around the tree’s base. Owls eat in its branches and raccoons use it as a landmark. It is a grand old being. #tree #oak #nature
