@pfr My personal experience is that it's run by a bunch of techbros and vulture capitalists, and they heavily censored the comments whenever anyone was critical of the VC sphere, crypto/AI stuff, and patriarchy in general. They (the owners) claimed to be FOSS friendly but their moderation of the site proved otherwise. I quit visiting there many years ago so it may be better now.

I did try to get an invitation to lobste.rs a while back as it seems to be more FOSS friendly, but I was told I wasn't important enough/smart enough to get an invite since I'm not a software developer.
