Getting hammered with rain at the moment, providing yet another reminder of how utterly crap the money-pit "new" BoM website is, especially when it comes to rain radar.

Blurred and smeary colours running together where the old pixellated one was clear and immediately informative; AND you have to type in your location, choose from the selection offered, then adjust the zoom level. Every. Single. Visit. 🤬

Glad I kept the old site's radar URL saved, so much better.

@imalcolm I noticed when I was hiking on the Sunny Coast last weekend that the Weatherzone radar was flagrantly unreliable ~ now I know why. Classic #enshittification? What is that old URL you've got saved?

@bodhipaine

Yep, #enshittification for all, whether we want it or not...

I'm first to admit the old BoM site was tired and clunky, but at the same time it worked.

And no worries - I'd considered including it in the prev. post but ran out of characters!

I have the 128km Melbourne view bookmarked, as my ideal range/zone, but here's the old countrywide map - all of the towns marked still link to their relevant areas. 😎

(Figured you prob want Brissy but wasn't sure.)

@imalcolm I found the Brissy link, and will keep it open until I have a chance to look at it more closely, thanks for sharing.
