SO... I was thinking about finally giving up and deleting my LinkedIn profile in the last couple of weeks.

Not that it has ever helped me before, but I am glad I didn't. I need to update it. A lot. I've done up my CV tonight.

Meanwhile... if anyone could use an experienced technical employee based in Wellington (remote work is fine), do let me know.

My short CV - I'm not a programmer, not a database designer, not a data engineer, not an architect, not a technical writer, not a web coder, not an automation expert, not a trainer. But... I have done all of those things many times. If there were a requirement to be any one of those things full time, I have no doubt I could get up to speed quickly.

My primary role in recent years has been technical support, mostly of a platform but also various technical users. I'm pretty good at this, if I say so myself.

I'm also a fabulous communicator in person and in writing. Not my judgement; people tell me that. Have done for years. (Ask me about that time I had dropped on me the need to train 100+ developers and testers in new tooling and I had to develop and deliver a complete training course in a few weeks.)

There's a small chance I will still have a job in 6 weeks but, the way things look now, I do not want it. What is being proposed is unreasonable and any residual loyalty to the company I have given 15 years has just evaporated. Actually, it is not at all the same company I joined back then. It is a shell of its former self and a lot of us have no confidence in the leadership.

@zkarj Deleted mine years ago.

Since then I've only been asked for it by recruiters who have no idea what they're doing.

Anyone vaguely serious doesnt care and hasnt looked for it.

@oxyhyxo the one thing I will be doing is using it to contact people I know but have otherwise lost touch with.
