yes, this means that NOT ONLY the government could get access to EVERYTHING you say in private, BUT THAT E2E ENCRYPTION MIGHT BE PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY OUTLAWED IN THE PROCESS, MEANING THE COMPLETE DEATH OF PRIVACY

"Hello, I’m calling about the Chat Control vote.”
“Please vote in favor of amendments 30 and 35.”
"It does not work effectively, as criminals can easily evade detection while false positives mean 2 in 10 innocent people will be accused of crimes they did not commit"
"State actors can exploit the backdoor you are opening to monitor private communications and spy on our industry secrets"
“And vote against any mass scanning of private messages as that is mass surveillance.”
