For those who don't want to bother reading the screenshots, the first says December 11, 2025: #Disney to invest ONE BEEEELION dollars in #OpenAI to use its #Sora to algorithmically shit on a century of art.
The second press release dated yesterday March 24, 2026, says OpenAI has canned the entire Sora app, not even telling Disney before they did it. Also, that "three year deal" they announced in December apparently hadn't actually closed, no money had changed hands, and so the whole thing was vaporware for about 3 and half months.
Disney has only had 2 other press releases since, so if you go to their press releases page, this release is the 3rd on the list. I assume they'll take it down soon?
