So I hinted at my motivations for donating to the NCSU Libraries a few posts up (in that quoted thread from awhile ago), but it essentially comes down to D.H. Hill Library being a safe space in the days right after I became a homeless college dropout

***** THE PURPOSE ***** Donations will be going to a part of the Libraries called "Special Collections" – basically the section that deals with unique / rare / historical stuff This particular fund will support acquisitions related to "the student experience" instead of the usual academic stuff

Basically anyone from any student group will be able to submit their group's records (yearbooks, flyers, etc) and the Libraries will set up a perpetual space for storage and curation

(Sorry for the super-long delay between posts, dealing with the 6-hour time zone difference plus work. It's a mess.)
