Singing Resistance is a collective using song as nonviolent resistance. Protecting our neighbors, building community, & fighting for liberation. ✊🎶 The prep party is for those interested in joining singing resistance and those already members of Nashville's Singing Resistance. This is a Clarksville specific gathering to learn songs and chants ahead of No Kings Day. Anyone may join whether you sing professionally or want to try singing for the first time. This will include: 🎤 song leading training 🎶 rehearsal of songs to build repertoire (for No Kings on 3/28) 🛡️ protest safety + how we protect each other 🫶 community building + connection Full disclosure: the prep party will be in the local county democratic party office because it is free and has no restrictions on use or time. No one will be asked to engage with the democratic party or any political candidate.
