so yesterday I added https://prose.nsood.in/hits.json to my blog, which counts requests over the past 24h by web page, by referer, and by user agent

the referers are about what you expect, just a bunch of search engines. mastodon links with rel="noreferer" so I can't tell who's coming from the fediverse probably...

though there is curiously https://korback.info in there, which seems to be a private (as in "need password to even read") wordpress blog?!

@tendstofortytwo browsing on this is funny because my phone is pretending to be a Bluetooth modem so it is able to get online, because this is before wifi was built in and wifi sdio cards are really hard to find for these

@theking that's wild, because lets encrypt uses ciphers new enough that iirc any internet explorer compatible with windows xp would choke on it

I suppose if it's still being updated they could've added modern TLS support... which is incredible

It is indeed pretty graceful and tidy!

I first read this as degradation as in the kink-flavored kind   

Then I saw that it involved stylesheets, and I quickly simulated some webdev themed scenes before my brain reminded me that "graceful failure" is probably what this meant
