Anything indulged in to excess will be unhealthy. Don't quite see why Google and Meta should be to blame in that Los Angeles court case though, no matter how ugly their algorithms are. It's like blaming a tree for a motorist's demise.

Obviously,quite a few of people become addicted and suffer of various personal and social problems.Who should be accounted ?Social media have involved working,learning,socializing and entertaining and become indispensable.Few people could choose to keep distance with them.The users are victims,not masterminds.Since Mega Techs have manipulated lots to make them more addictive,holding them liable seems to be of no dispute. The real challenge is how it will happen?
