@louie I ran into this exact issue during the daylight savings time change a couple of weeks ago. I found that the clock widget was another way to view seconds outside of the tiny app icon. To be clear, I think your point still stands. The fact that the CLOCK app doesn't contain a CLOCK is maddening.
