The bank I worked for in the 80s had a travel agency.
A few years later someone must have said “what the hell were we thinking” and the sold it off

Used to work as a guide in a cave that belonged to a Scandinavian bank. There had been some huge infrastructure project planned that completely fell through and left the creditor holding all property

No, the big 4 Australian banks all developed retail travel operations in the 80s as value add on services for customers then later off loaded them
