🀦 big sigh....

@VeroniqueB99 Vee, it's soooo hard! My mother passed when she was 94. The last time we spoke, she was gaggling about how wonderful a man Trump was and what a good Christian he was. While I was there she completed her monthly check to Pat Robertson!

She asked me why I was going to vote for Obama. I mentioned his experience, education etc.

She said "not me, I won't vote for a nigg&r for President."

It's sooo hard!

@PerryM 😬 ouch.. I know though..
My son's on the spectrum and was totally "on the trump train" in 2016.... I yanked him outta there as I would've if he had been addicted to heroin. It worked. I got him back. He did say "no one is immune to propaganda" as an 'excuse' (he was even interviewed by a German magazin as a 'college-educated kid that was pro T!!) but it took a good 7 or 8 years of screaming at each other.... he's still a bit to the right of me but he admits he 'enjoys' libs policies!
@VeroniqueB99 Wow! My son grew up in a strong left environment. I thought that I had succeeded in stressing morality and integrity. He married a beautiful blonde MAGA. There are no guarantees. Guess where he/she's at!
@PerryM aw...where?...😬
@VeroniqueB99 I meant where their heads are at! πŸ™ƒ
@PerryM oh right... yikes... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

@VeroniqueB99 @PerryM oh that's interesting.

I was a fan of Trump's 2016 run actually. Might be hard to explain within character limits.

In 2015, he said he couldn't be bought. He bought politicians. The US had a fella stupid AF, leveraging 'wealth' for the top position and blatantly, openly abusing it ... The corruption of the US political sphere laid bare, out in the open, on display with a 60 word lexicon.

... It should have been a short walk to impeachment and corruption reform.
