I see this ALL THE TIME. Not just with this act, but others. Remember in California the proposition to get doctors into Dialysis centers and require reporting of infections, etc.?
One ad on TV of a senior crying, "You're going to kill me!" and the prop failed. No one bothered to read the damn proposition!! That ad was paid for by 2 corporations in charge of over 70% of the California dialysis centers. People fell for click bait, kept profit in corporate pockets, and now dialysis patients are more at risk because of no doctor on duty should something happen, no need to report an infection from an infected machine, etc.
Please people...READ THE DAMN BILLS!!!

I see this all the time, yet so many Anti-tankie Leftists and Anti-communists who think the Non-Antitankie Left should "debate/dialogue/convince" Racists to stop being Raciss and related can't see it. Honestly at this point politics and the like are mostly about identity and belonging rather than reason and logic. It's all about interests after all.
I don't even think it's about that. We overestimate how much anyone outside of our political nerd circles even thinks about any of this.
It's just marketing! Jingles and slogans simple enough to repeat frequently and get lodged in heads. Might as well be chewing gum brands to 80% of the country.
Give your breath long lasting freshNEEEESS...

As a Brazilian, after this picture, I just want to give up of politics and focus on other things lmao
I mean, yeah, I think this picture says everything about our current world rn.

I know it's partially off-topic.
But the same can be told for the major problems within Cognitive Sciences, Human Sciences, and even Social Sciences, mainly Pro-Western ones.
Their thing with pathologizing ppl who believe in "conspiracy theories, " "pseudoscience," etc.
Ngl, your comment also applies to most anti-pseudoscience content, articles, media etc online.
Scientific Biases and Academic Biases are 100% real at this point...
Ppl believe in "conspiracy theories," "pseudoscience," "tin foil hat stuff, " bullshit," etc. for all shorts of reasons.
That's why cognitive sciences are no different than what you said there.
Actually, I agree that most of Anti-Pseudoscience" / Anti-"Bullshit" Militants/Activists are no different than what you sad.
You're free to disagree with me on there.
But Science Bias is really strong on that.
@VeroniqueB99 Vee, it's soooo hard! My mother passed when she was 94. The last time we spoke, she was gaggling about how wonderful a man Trump was and what a good Christian he was. While I was there she completed her monthly check to Pat Robertson!
She asked me why I was going to vote for Obama. I mentioned his experience, education etc.
She said "not me, I won't vote for a nigg&r for President."
It's sooo hard!
@VeroniqueB99 @PerryM oh that's interesting.
I was a fan of Trump's 2016 run actually. Might be hard to explain within character limits.
In 2015, he said he couldn't be bought. He bought politicians. The US had a fella stupid AF, leveraging 'wealth' for the top position and blatantly, openly abusing it ... The corruption of the US political sphere laid bare, out in the open, on display with a 60 word lexicon.
... It should have been a short walk to impeachment and corruption reform.
