I had this problem maintaining my #Anki deck for the #Arabic language, caused by the fact that Arabic has several synonyms for almost everything, so a card asking me to translate a word from English to Arabic could have one of several correct answers.

The solution is, of course, conditional formatting. I added a field called "ar_only", and set it up so that if a note has that field non-empty, only Arabic->English cards will be generated for it.

Not perfect, but good enough! 😎
