I grew up in #Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands. There we interact mainly in our own Frisian language, while the rest of the country speaks Dutch and or some dialects.

To me it is still the easiest to interact in my native language, but also comfortable in Dutch, English and less in German and even more less in French. 1/2

@gbraad haha no, Dutch is the main language thought to Frisian children at schools.
@Kletskous I know, but it is the same situation in a lot of places else. While the main language, they are more component in their family language. I do think more places should enforce/ make any other foreign language mandatory.
